Letter from OU Rabbi Elefant to Commerce Seretary Lutnick

Dear Secretary Lutnick: I write on behalf of the Orthodox Union to share our concerns regarding the antidumping and countervailing duty investigations currently pending on vegetable-based fatty acids imported from Indonesia and Malaysia. These ingredients play an important role in the supply chain serving the American kosher marketplace, and we respectfully ask the Department to take these considerations into account as it evaluates the potential impact of the proposed duties.
